High potential and gifted education

Our teachers are dedicated to recognising high potential in students through the use of objective, valid, and reliable assessments as part of formative evaluation to guide and enhance teaching and learning across creative, intellectual, physical, and social-emotional areas.

They consistently evaluate and identify the distinct learning needs of all high potential, gifted, and highly gifted students, ensuring that each student receives access to customised programs and support tailored to their individual learning requirements.

Our planning is grounded in the fundamental belief that teachers should maintain high expectations for every student, understanding that each individual requires differentiated, evidence-based learning experiences to maximise their growth and academic success. We acknowledge that personalised approaches are essential to meet the diverse needs of all learners and to foster an environment where every student can thrive.

To achieve this, we actively collaborate with families, our school community, and the broader community, recognising that a strong partnership enhances student development and supports meaningful learning outcomes. Additionally, we are committed to continuous professional learning, enabling our teachers to deepen their expertise and stay informed about best practices in educating high potential and gifted students.

Through these combined efforts, our teachers serve as catalysts for excellence, driving high performance and nurturing talent in every student. We strive to create inclusive learning environments that inspire curiosity, encourage creativity, and empower students to reach their full potential across all domains of development.
